The White Pass & Yukon Route was built between May 1898 and July 1900 from Skagway at sea level to the Summit (Elavation 2865 feet) of White Pass, boundary between the United States and Canada, and beyond. Total length built 110 miles. Gauge 3 feet.
The journey up to the Summit on the 4th Spetember 2008 unfortunately turned out to be rather misty and limited the number of views that could be seen further up the line.

This Collection show a number of Locomotives both steam and diesel plus other items at the Pinjarra base of the Hotham Valley Railway (W.A.) 2nd November 2006. Thanks go to the staff member on site for allowing a view of the sheds.

This Collection of Photographs was taken in Central Sydney between the 4th & 9th November 2006. Mainly it contains the Double Deck Units that are in use on the Local Suburban Services plus a few of the Country Link Trains.

This Collection of Photographs was taken between Toronto and Jasper from on board the The Canadian, also on board the Rocky Mountaineer from Banff to Vancouver. All taken between the 20th and 25th August 2008.

This Collection of Photographs was taken in and around Toronto's Union Station on the 15th and 19th August 2008, one exception being Ontario Northland Pic which was taken outside the City Centre.
Toronto's Go Transit operate over 7 Lines mainly during the Peak Commuting Period with F59PH Locomotives and the latest MP40PH-3C with By Level (Actually 3 levels) trains, Many of these being stabled either side of Union Station for most of the day.

A short break to Prague in the Czech Republic during March 2003 gave me the opportunity to photograph a number of Locomotives and Units in two of the main Stations at Hlavni and Masary Kobo.

This collection contains a small number of Photographs from various countries I have visited in the past. Many just taken on quick passing visit when near the station. Countries include:- Finland, Holland, Norway, Spain & Sweden.

These are a number Railway photos taken by Calum Burrell between 18th & 22nd August 2005 in Berlin and Dusseldorf.

This Collection was taken at Budapests Main Railway Stations of Deli pu, Keleti pu & Nyugati pu and also at Boraros Ter Suburban Station in 2006 & 2007.

A few shots taken during a short break in Dublin in March 2001 including a trip to Dunloghaire. Plus two items taken in the UK.

Visits to the station at Florence during a few days break in September 2000 resulted in this collection of Photographs.

These pics taken on one day on a holiday in 1997. An interesting mix of old trams and electric railway with magnificent views and many tunnels. Also the modern units on the narrow gauge line at Inca.

Portugal featured as a holiday destination on a few occassions, mainly in the Algarve area. I attempted at first to get the 1800 Class similar to the 50s in the UK but larger Gauge, then I just photographed whatever was around. At least more blue sky appears.
